This Excursion specifically includes:

• National Museum (entrance ticket)
• Visit of Agostinho Neto plantation (local guide fee)

• Tips for local guides
• Other expenses

This excursion starts at the National Museum and then follows the northern road along the tracks of Portuguese colonial history and the young Santomean national identity.

Itineraries

START OF ACTIVITY

Meet with your guide

Meeting at your hotel or downtown.
Departure time is usually 8:35 am (from the capital), please confirm meeting place and time.

NATIONAL MUSEUM

Discover local culture, traditions, life during the colonial plantation era, and then learn about more recent historical events, such as the 1953 massacre and the Independence in 1975.

ROÇA AGOSTINHO NETO

Visit the former largest cocoa plantation, its famous paved avenue, and its hospital.

MICOLÓ VILLAGE

Drive through the fishing village and check out seashells sold at local stands.

FERNÃO DIAS MEMORIAL

The Memorial monument for the martyrs of the massacres of February 1953.

BLUE LAGOON

Make a short stop for sightseeing and swimming!
